Obtaining Additional Documents After a Finalized Adoption

Clients were provided with multiple certified copies of the Final Order of Adoption at the close of legal services. If a parent or an adopted adult wish to obtain additional certified copies of the Final Order, or any other court document, you must contact the clerk’s office of the circuit court where the adoption was finalized to inquire about steps to re-open a sealed file to obtain copies.
