Some clients may have also filed their wills for safekeeping in the probate division of the local circuit court clerk’s office.
During the final signing meeting, all clients were provided with a bright red or green wallet folder with “Estate Documents of [CLIENT]” on the cover, and if additional steps were not taken by the client to safeguard the documents, the documents may still reside in the estate planning closing folder in the client’s home.
Clients were additionally given sample forms to assist with providing surviving loved ones with information relevant to their overall plan.
